Targeted Training
All A.S.A.P. Emergency Specialists received detailed training (Insurance Scene Security Training) in documenting evidence, and controlling a loss site to ensure that the appropriate level of continuity meets the legal requirements in court cases. Procedures comply with the guidelines in the NFPA 921 manual, Guide for Fire and Explosion Investigations, the NFPA 601 manual, Standards for Security Services in Fire Loss Prevention, as well as with the provincial statues under the 2005 Private Security, and Investigative Services Act.
As an option, A.S.A.P. can document a scene using its Fire Scene Videography Service. Technicians are trained to use high quality digital video equipment to record the contents on a property, damage to the area, and any investigations at the fire scene. This extra service not only protects people and property but also reduces the potential for liability claims against the victimized corporation. It also can thwart the actions of determined thieves enticed by merchandise or equipment that becomes exposed.
