A.S.A.P. recognizes that its people are truly their most valuable asset and resource. As each individual strengthens and expands their knowledge and capabilities, the company as a whole becomes a stronger security partner. A.S.A.P. established the A.S.A.P. Academy to ensure that all employees are committed to continuous improvement and advancement. Through the A.S.A.P. Academy, our security personnel are educated to perform and motivated to deliver.

Upon being hired, A.S.A.P. security personnel are registered into the modular-based curriculum. Security Guard Basic Training (SGBT) must be completed within their initial four weeks of employment. Module Two, Insurance Scene Security Training (ISST) designed specifically for security personnel who will be conducting coverage at a site affected by a major loss or calamity must also be completed within the initial four weeks of employment. These online programs, which encompass the full range of duties, obligations, and expectations of professional security personnel, are supplemented by classroom and on-site training.

The Academy’s curriculum is comprised of multiple parts:

  • Security Guard Basic Training (SGBT)
  • Insurance Scene Security Training (ISST)
  • Health and Safety Training
  • Classroom and Field Training
  • Advanced Security and Performance Development (A.S.A.P.-D)
  • First Aid, CPR and Defibrillator Training

The Advanced Security and Performance Development (A.S.A.P.-D) program focuses on continuously developing an employee’s skills and knowledge.

After an employee has successfully completed the Security Guard Basic Training and Insurance Scene Security Training, he or she is eligible to begin the advanced course. This A.S.A.P. Academy program focuses on developing an employee’s ongoing skill and knowledge. A detailed performance evaluation is conducted on each employee after 30 days and 60 days, and then quarterly thereafter. The purpose is to underscore the A.S.A.P.’s commitment to the continuous improvement of employees and to providing the tools for ongoing success.
