Fire Watch
Should a fire alarm or sprinkler system malfunction or be out of service for repairs, the property owner is legally required to conduct a fire watch of the premises until the system is reactivated. A.S.A.P. Emergency Specialists can assist with this function.
A.S.A.P. specialists are trained under NFPA 601, the Manual for Standard Security Services in Fire Loss Prevention. Those responding will patrol the building every half hour, reporting the status in log notes or to the local fire service. By meeting the legal requirements, this procedure can eliminate municipal fines, and insurance coverage questions.
